The Story of DJ Johnny…
Johnny purchased his first pair of turntables, mixer, and amplifier at the age of 13. He practiced for hours at a time every day after high school until he reached the level where he was comfortable to perform for crowds. He started with small occasions such as house parties and then quickly graduated to doing church events and booking private parties. It was at this point he felt he was ready for the club circuit.
Johnny the Greek ventured throughout nightlife hotspots spanning from New Jersey to New York with such club appearances at Club Abyss, Decko Lounge, Poor Billys, Tribecca, Drama, Lounge 2028, Taij, Cheetah, Vue, China Club, Club 151, Eugenes, Suede, Marquis, Fantasia, Cavo, Enigma, Life, and maintaining a five-year residency at club Plato’s.
After several years within the club scene, Johnny was ready to return to focusing on the mobile scene for private events once again. The previous years proved helpful to him as he developed an uncanny ability to read a crowd and maintain a steadily packed dance floor.
DJ Johnny is the house DJ for two Greek Bands which include Nikos Koutras Entertainment and Stavros Theodorou orchestra.
